I can't believe it's been 50 years already!

After high school, I went to Weber State College for a year and then decided I would rather join the "working poor" population so I worked a few seasons at the IRS.

After the IRS, I worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Defense Logistics Agency at DDO & HILL AFB from 1972 until 1996.

While at HAFB, I met my husband James, who was in the Air Force and working on F-16s for the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. We got married in 1988 and moved to Central Florida in March of 1996, where we have enjoyed 31 great years together.

After moving to Florida, I worked for the Seminole County Planning Division in Sanford from July of 1996 until I retired in March of 2013.

We survived the "Hurricane Tour of 2004" when we took direct hits from Charley, Frances and Jeanne all within about a six week timeframe. Lost power for 5 days with Charley, 3 days with Frances and none (luckily) with Jeanne.

Hey, but I'll take hurricanes and gators any day over the fires, floods, mudslides and ice storms that have been plaquing the rest of the U.S. lately.

We have been on several cruises and have spent many hours enjoying all of the activities that Florida has to offer.

We also take yearly trips back to Utah to visit family and spend some time in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone.

We have had several fur babies over the years and are currently the proud parents of Spanky (5) and Toby (15 months).

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the 50-year reunion as we have other commitments during that timeframe.
